3. I agree, but I'm still weeping about Prop 19....
Nothing really changes, of course. Pot is still the backbone of the NorCal economy. It's just so STUPID.

6. I think you're getting there - really! But boy I wish I was a George Soros --
I'd start giving money and producing and AIRING pro legalization commercials NOW, Get them used to it, present all the reasonable arguments, pre-empt the fear commercials by addressing them head on. Blanket the airwaves until by 2012, it's become a part of peoples' lives.

4. Starstruck Californians, who couldn't differentiate between
movie roles and real life, stupidly put an inexperienced former bodybuilder into the governor's chair. I think after his disastrous performance, many came to their senses and decided to go with a seasoned political pro. I am breathing a huge sign of relief, not only for Brown and Boxer's victories, but because I no longer have to look at Meg and Carly's mugs on tv. Added bonus that they both wasted a bunch of their own fortunes!

7. Yes, I take GREAT pleasure knowing that they spent big chunks of their
own money. One person at my best friend's voting location told a local LA morning news reporter the reason he didn't vote for Whitman was because "I'm not for sale". :headbang:

19. Love it, and enjoyed Olbermann's
comment last night that apparently there are some things you can't buy with "Buy it Now" on E-Bay.

27. Hear hear! It's gonna be SO great not to see carly fiorina's mug on there, especially.
Miss Outsourcing America got outsourced herself. I'm sure you thought you could yank those 30 thousand jobs out from under all your unfortunate former HP employees - and that you'd never feel the pain yourself.

SOMETIMES chickens DO come home to roost. Sort of restores my faith a little bit.

5. Bummer about Prop 19, but other than that you appear to be the only remotely sane state
..in the union this morning...

and Prop. 21 (state park funding) lost.

Has Carly conceded yet?

9. It's the only reason I am not despondent this morning.
The rest of the contry can go to hell in a handbasket with their GOPer leaders. I am safe out here on the Left Coast. All liberal political refugees are welcome to stay at my place. :hi:

10. We're still doing well in Washington, too. Things pretty much stayed the same.
What concerns me, though, (both with you guys and with us) is how CLOSE these races were!

14. I am not surprised --
"Liberal California" is for the most part an illusion. I have driven through all parts of California and I can say with certainty the inland/rural areas are just as right wing as any red state. :puke: Our large urban areas counter the rest of the State.

Yes, this race was way too close for my taste. Thankfully the coastal West seemed to be hanging onto a bit of sanity.

A local website is littered with comments about wanting to move to Arizona or Texas. Lmao!

In at least some cases, California can't be bought. We're not for sale to the highest bidder out here. We did turn back the big money.
