Where Do We Go Now?
We certainly will not get the Citizens United ruling address, and it looks like little or nothing will get done for the next two years at a time we need a lot done. We say that our candidates ran against their accomplishments, which is basically true, but what else did yesterday tell us? It told us how the message was dominated by the right, it showed a fear of selling the truth so compromise the truth with what the people seem to know. It showed the divide in our nation and that compromise is a pipe dream. I have no answers and the only thoughts I have is we need to fight and fight together. We are at a serious crossroads and if we don't unite and show something as a united team then we won't win. Obama needs to be ready to fight and this let's get along idea is great but not realistic. We lost so much ground with the TeleCom Act of 1996 and then lost even more with the Citizens United ruling. We must support our own media and the voices we have must get on one message and that is getting the truth out so our candidates aren't scared to run on their record. Obviously we won't be able to address the Fox problem now and if we don't support our media we are going to take it even more next time. The Tea Party will be more bold, corporations more bold and if we don't get together on our side, we probably are doomed. I think it is up to us and what we decide to do will be important. Just my thoughts.

1. imo it's time for progressives (in either party or none) to stop wasting precious time...
...working for candidates who sell-out to corporations and refuse to use their power when we get them into office.

After listening to the president's lame press conference today and the callers to Big Ed's show (especially labor), I think there will be a primary challenge from the left.

2. In answer to the Tea Party, I've started my own Whiskey Rebellion.
Seriously, until we have united leadership, we've no prayer for a united party.
