Taste The Corporate Narrative! Both Boehner and Obama Indicate Willingness To Compromise...
Edited on Wed Nov-03-10 01:53 PM by TomCADem
...But the corporate media highlights the narrative of the GOP having a mandate (compare this to the 2008 no real mandate narrative), while highlight President Obama's (but not Boehner's) statements that he may be willing to compromise.

Result? President Obama looks weak, and progressives accuse him of selling out while Republicans who said similar things about working with the President, appear strong and are ordered by the base.

Will you be manipulated? Taste the Narrative!

1. Most "progressives" are willing to be manipulated by the corporate press narratives.
We've seen that again and again over the last two years with the extreme gullibility by those who believe any rumor about Obama.

2. Well, Turns Out You Were Right...
Corporate media spins Obama's statements about compromise as a sign of weakness, and this narrative gets repeated. Conversely, Boehner's statements on compromise reflect "leadership" and a "seriousness" about assuming the position of Speaker.

Rince and repeat.
