1. Well that explains a lot
Anytime I hear someone try to describe how much an Ayn Rand tome has changed their lives I realize that I'm dealing with someone that doesn't have a lot of cognitive ability or is someone that is so selfish that it's not worth even discussing the weather with them.

6. I usually try to steal a credit card of theirs.
They'll normally have six to eight in their wallet.

12. Absolutely
We had a guy at work for a short period of time whose car was just covered in those moronic "Where is John Galt", "Live Ayn Rand" bumper stickers. Funny thing was he was parked right by a building entrance in a handicapped spot.

He couldn't/wouldn't answer when I asked him how it felt to be a lowly scum sucking parasite taking my hard earned tax dollars for his free handicapped sticker and other accommodations under the Americans With Disabilities Act.

17. Life is so hard for those who are better than anyone else.
Compassion rises in my breast, like vomit in the gullet.

13. Yep, it's a fantastic clue.
If and when the Ayn Rand comes out, there's your sign. I'll go do something more productive, like dig a hole and yell down it.

Sort of. It was notable, and i wondered why she felt the need.

By the way, my all time favorite is "Women in Love"

18. It's true that many who achieve greatness have to fight against the crushing swarm.
Just not Ayn Rand.

OMFG, it just NOW occured to me: was Rand Paul named after Ayn Rand!!!??? :puke:

It's a thick book. Will make up for a lack of toilet paper for a very long time.

7. It's porn for the self-absorbed
Think about it--there's a fun and silly dystopian potboiler in there, but the plot keeps getting inexplicably interrupted by long scenes of heavy ideological petting. Its structure has much in common with some of the thrillers on Cinemax.

11. If she's read Atlas Shrugged, it's a comic book version.
Hell, if she's read any book over 200 pages, I'd be shocked.

If she's read any book worth reading, I'd be shocked.

She is a complete airhead.

26. She coos and awwws over the animal stories.
She loves her gramma a great deal as well. it's rare to find any news in her hour.

I think it's for home daycare workers on break during the kids' nap time who might want to know what Michelle is wearing, and to make sure America is still one quarter a Democracy.

She's just not very bright, and doesn't have any significant understanding of the world of politics.

28. Here, She's often the background during household chores and such.
"Watching" doesn't accurately describe it. I think it's the nature of the time slot.

15. Utter unreadable crap
I'd be willing to bet a dollar to a dog turd that Contessa has never read her "favorite book of all time". She lacks the attention span, patience, persistence and intelligence to read hundreds of pages of anything, let alone that drivel.
