Most Voters Think House GOP Likely To Disappoint By 2012
Wednesday, November 03, 2010

Hold the celebration. Most voters expected Republicans to win control of the House of Representatives on Election Day, but nearly as many expect to be disappointed with how they perform by the time the 2012 elections roll around.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds, in fact, that 59% of Likely U.S. Voters think it is at least somewhat likely that most voters will be disappointed with Republicans in Congress before the next national elections. That includes 38% who say it is Very Likely.

10. Absolutely.
They clearly have no intentions of fulfilling any of their promises to what's left of our middle class.

Reduce the deficit? Hah! Hard to do when your primary objective is to cut taxes on the wealthy.

Create jobs? Sure! (In India and China)

etc.

3. No surprise to me
Just as 2006/2008 were not endorsements of the Democratic Party, neither was 2010 an endorsement of the GOP.

The electorate sent the same message in all three elections, it's only the tone deaf who can't hear it by now. We'll see it again next election, since obviously not enough people 'get it' to prevent it from happening again.

17. Truman was so right about that!
So are you suggesting that Indis voted them in hoping they would fail, or once again the Republicans are voting against their own interests but in self-destructive, nuclear fashion?

7. And though they might be disappointed
they will surely vote the same liars and thieves back into office because the TV will tell them to, from FAUX to countless ads paid for by Dog knows whom.

8. So they have been there half a day...
Edited on Wed Nov-03-10 03:18 PM by old mark
and their numbers are down already?

They just haven't been living up to expectations, I guess.

Time to give the Democrats a chance - that Obamer fellow wasn't so bad after all...

The American people watch too much TV and know absolutely nothing. We may be the dumbest group of people on earth.

11. That could be good news.
Perhaps it's sinking in that there's not much of a difference between these parties due to their corporate common denominator.

13. Sorry, but there's a HELL of a lot more of difference than that!!
just look at the floor of the republican and democratic national conventions. One party fights FOR THE PEOPLE and the other does nothing but strike fear in americans who are racist or gullible enough to believe their lies. Yes, they both take corporate money, but that in NO WAY makes them the same!!
