but blew it by voting down Prop 24. :(

25. Not to mention the legalization
of a friendly herb. That would have solved some tax problems, as most everybody in America who is friendly with that herb would have found a way to get to CA to buy some.

5. na
complete victory would have been legal cannabis and no to prop 26. Now, big tobacco and big oil can avaoid any fee increases, and the state's budget gets even more structurally harder to fix

Jerry Brown has nothing to lose now-- he need to come out no holds barred in favor of legal cannabis in 2012 and start taking out 26 before it even gets legs so that it can be undone in 2012

9. And Prop 25 should go a long way to restore California's fiscal health...
and no longer be held hostage by a minority of Republicans in the state legislature. That will really help in the coming years!

22. Having just moved to Oregon from California, I hope I don't have to say "Governor Dudley"!
That Dud can't be our governor. Hoping that the remaining uncounted votes here in Multnomah county are all swinging for Kitzhaber now.

Oregon's a great progressive state too, but has had a few flaws in this election. One of them still hopefully we can be rescued with in the governor's race. Another is throwing out public campaign financing in the city of Portland, which is a big bummer too!
