I Know That I Will Get A Lot Of Flack From This: Charlie Crist

I am not a "Lurker" I found you guys after the 2000 debacle in the Palm Beach County Gore/Bush Selection. I protested in our local streets. I felt so betrayed and started logging on to DU every morning. I Thank you in advance for your information and information that I read daily. I feel I DO belong to this group even though I haven't hit the 1000 mark. I get my news from you guys every day.
However:
There are some of us, as you call them, Flor-idiots who supported Crist in this election. I can say that this man gave me the opportunity to get a $5000.00 credit for "My Safe Florida". I can say that I was a teacher and he stuck up for us. I can say that he was better than all those previous Governors who we felt was a refreshing alternative to Jeb Bush. Wouldn't it be nice not to promote sticking to party lines for the benefit of my fair state. Ask the people, not the politics. We liked him as our governor. Now we are doomed. Please remember, as I do, that local politics are important to our local consequences.

Can you explain why you would ask. I assume you are saying that the 'Senators' from Florida would not be my concern if I do not live there.

However, I am not saying who should be Senator, only commenting on the process chosen by some to try and control who gets into office, and for why.

And expressing an opinion on two people that I don't like.

And it is not third party candidates that I comment on, it the use of third party run after loosing a primary, or to not try and win but to gerrymander a vote.

I Know I won't get a K & R as you guys promote, but I wanted you to know there are many of us "out there" who watch, listen, and follow your lead. In the case of Meek being a Dem and the only way to remain a true DU, I disagreed with your forum. We did have a good governor, which we liked in our own sense of Florida. The result of your guidance was truly horrible!

I, for one, can understand both sides of the Meek v Crist support debate. I judge neither side for the choices they made.

I bet he was a nice guy too. But, he had a habit of giving crooked people government jobs for all the wrong reasons. I'm not into good ole boy bullshit. My American dream was destroyed because of their machinations and I'll never get that time back. There are no do-overs for us mortals.

I'll tell you one thing Crist didn't do. He didn't help clean up the dirt in local politics along the I-4 Corridor. That was his meal ticket and he kept them safe. It's like a deal made with the devil. The Counties remain red as long as no one looks too deeply into their business. And in return, they send campaign donations to keep it that way.

I don't think there's anyone in this State who has the integrity to expose them. And whether you want to believe it or not, they affect our lives from cradle to grave.

10. I agree with you about Crist.

As much as I liked Meek, I didn't vote for him because he was so far down in the polls and I so didn't want Rubio to be a FL Senator. I voted for Crist because I felt it was our only chance. Even though Crist was a Repug Governor, I wasn't unhappy with him as I was with Jeb. Having said that, I truly believe that Meek will go far in the Democratic Party. He is smart, articulate, and honest. He has much to offer.

Today I'm hearing that perhaps the 2012 Presidential election repuke nominees could be Jeb and Marco. What a disgusting thought!

18. Crist was a moderate republican who made some moderate decisions

which benefited our state. While he did veto that horrific SB6 bill as well as the bill forcing women about to get abortions to get ultrasounds (at their expense), nonetheless he is a republican and didn't leave the party until he saw the writing on the wall with Rubio.

So you like moderates compared to Jeb, that's nice. Now our state sucks beyond compare and we've been sent back to the stone age and all those nasty bills are up for ramming through again:
