And if he didn't have the honor and decency to "do the right
thing" himself, has he been shown the door? Or are we still

Like I say I am no Tim Kaine fan, but honestly we knew historically that Dems would lose seats this midterm. I am not quite seeing how this is a "fireable offense". At least in my county the ground game was pretty darn good.

...a Senate filibuster. They'll do it because 1) we don't
actually have the spine to back-up our threats and 2)
quite a few folks who are allegedly on our side will
still support the Republicans, either because our folks
are stupid, voting out of political expediency, or are
outright turncoats.

And the ground game may have been good in your area,
but here in New Hampshire, it was completely incompetent.
Any of us could have done a better job.

In parliamentary systems it is pretty common for the PM to step down after their government falls, but not really an analogous situation here, so maybe you should go shake Nancy Pelosi's tree?

Kaine is the leader of a party committee, not the Democratic Party. Either way while we hold the WH, Kaine essentially serves at the pleasure of the president.
