Health Care "Repair"
Sure, we can "negotiate" with Republicans:

1) Eliminate the tax penalty for non-coverage; institute a tax credit for coverage instead.
2) Allow anyone access to Medicare. http://johnconyers.com/hr676text

If Democrats admit that the original bill fell short of people's expectations, we can go on the offensive against the Republicans. But do the Democrats have the fortitude to fight for more?

Any "repairs" must be aimed at expanding access and coverage rather than eliminating it. That's the "positive" thing about the passage of the original bill - at least now it is recognized as a federal government issue.
