8. Yeah I am watching
getting back to exercise after two rough months of not being able to... lord I am out of shape AGAIN!

Six minutes on the elliptical at like really low intensity and I am dying.

9. We need a map to show where Progressives and Blue Dogs won and lost.
And also data to show the margins they won or lost by.

10. She really put the 'mandate' into perspective

Rachel really wasn't phased at all by the outcomes of the house, turns out it's actually normal for the opposition party to gain it in the mid-term (does that mean the "What have the CURRENTWHITEHOUSEPARTYs done? Nothing!" sentiment is more common that our trust-worthy, never sensationalist media reported?)

A lot of big tea party losses, including the first one in Scott Brown. Many democrats kept their offices and actually defeated many tea party guys and fiscal "conservatives" (should be called fiscal anarchists) including almost all of the blue dogs; Idiots, republicans are going to vote for republicans and democrats with democrats, not republicans only calling themselves democrats so they can look like they're going against the party.

The right has majority in the house at the moment but it's sort of like they came of fight badly maimed: Sure you won, you get the trophy! ...But now you need surgery and intensive care after the pomp is over and done even if the sports press (media) won't be reporting on that. Wasn't as easy as you thought.

So you see, kids? Money really doesn't buy elections and you can only fool some of the people some of the time, never all of them or all of the time and a bad deed is often punished. There are people out there who DID see through the tea party, or heard Keith Olbermann's speech last week. :)

13. Crap, got some numbers and proportions wrong, oh well
It's still not hopeless and by having tea party-ers in power it'll be that much easier to expose them for incompetence soon.

I know I sound naive, but actually I don't know if I could be more disillusioned by the world of politics, we know how bad it gets sometimes but eventually the demand for good returns - once you've seen the bottom all that's left is to look up. =\

Anyway, just my little disclaimer.
