Mind if we have a small chat, Mr President?
I know that you said you wanted to sit down with the political leaders of both Parties and private business leaders but would you mind sitting down with a few of us common folks?

We know you worked very hard to try and keep a working Congress but it was not to be. We do not believe the Republicans are serious about working with you. We also do not believe you are so naive as to believe them.

If we must say so, Mr President, this is a time to draw a line in the sand. You must let the people know that you are willing to compromise with the Republicans on extending the middle class taxcuts but you are drawing a line at giving more taxcuts to millionaires and billionaires. Our country simply cannot afford it and it would be reckless and foolish.

Also, Mr President, the people must know that you will not surrender any part of the healthcare reform that was popular with both Parties and the majority of the American people. That is your line in the sand. If there are parts that can be fixed or improved, then we are willing to compromise with those that have better ideas.

Also, Mr President, you need to draw a line in the sand about Social Security. The SS fund has not created one red cent of the deficit. It has kept the debt and deficits from being much larger than they are. That money has not disappeared. That money was put into the Social Security fund for the people. Every red cent is protected by the Treasury of the United States. It was borrowed. That is another line in the sand that needs to be drawn. Draw the line before the Commission makes their proposal. Let the line include them as well.

Mr President, it is time to put the chips on the table. Be very clear. Let the people know ahead of time what you are fighting for and they will stand behind you. Let the Republicans know exactly where you stand and where you are willing to compromise. Do not permit them to cross the line.

3. First thing I heard out of one of those rat bastards this a.m. was that
he wanted to cut federal wages, bring them more in line with less than minimum wage, which is $7.50 an hour in case you've forgotten. :P He's the one with the glasses, I believe he is Jewish, from FL maybe? can't think of his name, but I'll get back with you Mr. President. But watch out for him. He is not your friend. And the orange dude, no so much either.

5. Have a sit down and take two things off the table
Discussion of tax cuts or increases or increases or decreases in federal spending.

Talk about only one subject - How to get wealth creating jobs back in the U.S.? Have business leaders from manufacturing and retail companies in the room to answer questions why certain products have to be produced in other countries. Why products can't be produced here? Do not let any financial types in the room. Somehow convey to these mavens of industry Henry Ford's notion about being able to buy the car they produce. If this does not start happening again, our gooses are all cooked.

Don't be afraid to call industry leaders out on why they moved factories overseas. Lets hear their answers and what may have changed that decision.

As for the financial types, they should be chained to the bottom of the ocean.
