61% of Californians still believe in global warming
Proposition 23 — Global warming
This proposal would have suspended the state's landmark global warming law until unemployment in California dropped to 5.5% or below for a full year. Failed: 61%-39%

The state is in debt but the people don't mind spending on polution that is minuscule compared to what the rest of the world is polluting.

2. Gov. Gregoire, (D) WA suspended new energy rules
...in light of unemployment and business stresses.
They're sticking with the 2006 WSEC -building energy code.
California should be officially absolved for Ahnold now.

God, I am sick of that phrase. You either understand the science or you don't.

5. I voted against Proposition 23, but I am unsure about global warming.
Just being honest - I do not feel I can make a firm decision. Either way, carbon emissions have a social cost in terms of environmental damage.

7. energy indepedence?
solar, wind, hydro... do not rely on foreign imports to generate energy.

Not to mention, hello gulf of mexico oil spill!

When the next oil crisis comes, California will shrug it off while the rest of the country gasps for air.

Then who will be hurting economically?
