For followers of Alaska's politics
Gryphen at The Immoral Minority has a couple of funny and scathing posts up here http://theimmoralminority.blogspot.com/ regarding the Alaska senate race write-in debacle and Sarah Palin's presidential aspirations.

1. As a former Alaskan...
I've been laughing hard at this. Does Miller really think he stands a chance against a Murkowski?

What perplexes me is how with two Republican douchebags splitting the vote and shooting attack ads at each other the whole season, McAdams wasn't able to simple waltz to victory. I mean I know Alaskans love their corrupt nepotists as much as Louisianans do, but just by the numbers, you'd think... Ah well.

4. It was purely fear this time.
Lisa played it really well with the moderates, talking up her experience and seniority and the phrase "A vote for Scott is a vote for Joe." She's good, gotta give her that.

3. I read IM every day
In fact, I never close IM's browser window. I really enjoy reading Gryphen.

This is going to be very interesting on how this plays out. I wish McAdams had won.
:hi:
