A few simple suggestions on how to make the next few days a little better.

1. Find an album that you used to REALLY like that you haven't listened to in a long time and put it on. Jump around the room, play air guitar, sing, scream, duck-walk, whatever. Exile On Main Street, Duty Now For The Future, Purple Rain, Revolver, Blonde On Blonde, Illmatic, Candy-O, Pink Moon, Murmur, WHATEVER, Appetite For Destruction, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, put it on and CRANK it up.

2. Do something stupid or corny that you thought was too stupid or corny to do before. Go buy a bottle of Old Spice and splash it on you and go to the grocery store. Get some really, REALLY high high-heels and strut around the mall. Shave your eyebrows. Punch a hole through some dry wall (get a stud-finder ). Paint flames on your car (or make some temporary ones with electrical tape).

3. Do something that reminds you of your dad (or mom). Drink a shot of Bourbon. Smash your thumb with a hammer. Powder the cups of your bra. Speed on the highway and tell the passengers you're "blowing the carbon out." Chop down a tree. Make a crumb cake.

4. Hug your dog. Or your cat. Or your iguana or your ball python or your turtle or your chinchilla (sp?) or your ferret or your horse or WHATEVER. Animals can fix pretty much everything.

5. Tell your spouse/lover/SO/GF/BF/paramour (sp?)/coworker/cashier/whatever that they look hot and MEAN it...THEY DO!!!

Like just about everyone on Earth, I have seen some awful things. This is one of 'em. We will survive (OMG, bullet item #1 and play some Gloria Gaynor!!!!!).

Hang in there!

Love,

Vickers

P.S. You won't even BELIEVE how many things I've already done on this list.

1. " Smash your thumb with a hammer. " The only idea that will make me feel any better than I do now.

Thanks for trying.

3. I tried! Some folks are reading...maybe they'll report back later
with stories of speeding tickets and the smells of baking in the kitchen.

4. or just go on with our lives
I'm a little burned out on the whole politics thing right now. What I'm going to do is ignore it for a little while and keep one wary eye on the bastards. Next thing is I want to SEE if republican control in the house helps us out financially. I want to SEE if this crook governor Floridiots elected helps the people of this state or not-I'll be watching but not as closely for a little while.

5. EXACTLY!!! None of this has to do with politics per se, just a reminder that
we all need to...I don't know, press on.

BTW, I'm right south of you (Boynton).

I hope to start seeing more folding money in my tip jar-it's never been this bad down here. IDK, maybe people just aren't carrying cash around anymore...how COULD old people actually vote for Rick Scott? I don't get it. Oh yea and Alan West...
