Conservatives: We weren't true to conservatism in 2001-2008

If, in the years 2001 through 2008, you had asked everyone in the Bush/Cheney administration and every single GOP Congressperson if they thought they were acting like true conservatives should act, they would have sung out "Yes" to the tune of the Star Spangled Banner. Ask them now, and they will tell you that they failed because they were not true to conservatism. In fact, you don't even have to ask them. That's their story, and they're sticking to it.

The Tea Partiers are not even Republicans if you ask them. See, the Tea Partiers are conservatives who were let down by Republicans. True, if you check behind their Tea Party bumper stickers really closely, you'll find some glue and dust in the shape of a W, but you are not allowed to think that means anything.

The media are going along with this whole charade, of course. The Tea Partiers missed an opportunity though. They should have just worn T-Shirts that read, "I'm Thin, Blonde, and Hot." The media would turn them into fashion models.
