1. If I were trying to cause the United States to collapse, this would have been the way.

We now have truly useful idiots who can use their filibuster to cause the US to default on its debts.

The resulting firestorm that could produce would race across North America the same way a similar collapse raced across the Soviet Union. Destorying government and creating a vast region incapable of regulating business and creating a capitalists wonderland.
