Democratic Congressman's Career-Killing Outburst Was Engineered by GOP Tricksters

Anyway, today, buried in the New York Times' look at the Republicans' two-year campaign to retake the House, the mystery is solved: The kids were GOP operatives sent to incite democratic congressman into embarrassing themselves on camera as part of a deliberate and calculated campaign.

They also tried to push Democrats into retirement, using what was described in the presentation as "guerilla tactics" like chasing Democratic members down with video cameras and pressing them to explain votes or positions. (One target, Representative Bob Etheridge of North Carolina, had to apologize for manhandling one of his inquisitors in a clip memorialized on YouTube. Only this week did Republican strategists acknowledge they were behind the episode.)

Ha! Good one, GOP. Etheridge lost his seat on Tuesday to a Republican challenger (though he's demanding a recount), in part because of a very effective campaign commercial making use of the episode.

The important thing to remember is that the Republican Party won fair and square and that Andrew Breitbart runs a trustworthy independent journalism operation.

4. Because this is just an anonymous political forum and you know
how important we are, as opposed to people in actual power that can change our society or break it. OTOH, I get your point.

2. On this one, the guy deserved to lose.
I don't care who goads you or how big an asshole they are, US Representatives don't put their hands on Americans asking them questions.

For example, was that the first or fiftiest time that guy had confronted the Congressman?

10. What difference does it make how many times the guy approached him?
If the Congressman thought he was being harrassed he could have taken another action vs. what he did take.

Context or no, there was no justification for what he did.

5. One thing Obama needs to LEARN AND NEVER WILL
Is the republicans are dirty, common, liars, tricksters, they hate all people who are not white and rich, they despise Democrats and will do anything and everything in their power enabled by the crooked and activist republican justices in the supreme court, and the rich corporate media and owners of business. Who did and will do anything to improve their profits. Like strip this country of jobs, and pay for the ruination of it.

He never will he hasn't the guts. I still support him because he is a Democrat, I think, but he is doing the best damn job of dis-enfranchising Democrats all over the country. Wonder how those macho driven blogers over at all the blogs who constantly panned and was worst on Hillary than any republican feel now about their choice. When anyone tried to tell them Obama at this particular time was not up to the challenge and that it took someone with political macho, even tho she was woman to do the job, they all but had a fit. WELL FELLOWS WHO WAS RIGHT AND WHO WAS WRONG. I think if Hillary would have gotten the job she would have kicked republican ass to hell and back. And just think we would then have Obama waiting in the wings to take over after her turn. By that time he would be able to see how it was done and that spine would stiffened a little and he would see you can't be FRIENDS OR TRY TO APPEASE THE REPUBLICANS. All they want is power and money and they will go after it at any cost. They don't care if the kill their fellow Americans in the process, they don't care if the ruin the country, if the get the money along with the power that's all they want. In the words of screechy face YOU BETCHA.

Progressives need their own "intelligence service." It won't come from within the Democratic Party organizationally. It's up to "us."

13. Standard Democratic Candidate equipment
Video camera jammer (Pocket sized)

This device is not much larger than a packet of cigarettes and when activated, will disable almost any wireless video camera, wireless lans and blue tooth. Great for protecting access to your pc or to ensure you are not under video surveillance. It produces a powerful 900mW of power to disable equipment up to a distance of 30 metres and is simple to operate. The frequency range covered by the jammer is between 900Mhz - 2.4Ghz covering all video cameras mentioned. The jammer is small enough to be concealed in a pocket, briefcase e.t.c. and used inconspicuously. It has in-built rechargeable ni-cad batteries and comes complete with the charging adaptor. The adaptor is dual voltage for 110/240v. Click here for more details.

14. If they're college-age, they're not kids. God, I hate that. If we call them "kids," it makes it
easier for people to pretend this is just a prank, instead of the sabotage of democracy that it is. These are adults. Not kids.
