Mr. President, we elected you, not Mitch McConnell
The President should not give in on taxes, health care or anything else. He needs courage. If he gives in, it will be a huge mistake because compromising for the sake of unity will be mistaken for weakness and lack of conviction. He will for sure lose the next election because he'll never get Republican votes and will lose liberal votes as well.

Compromising is recipe for disaster for the whole country.

He'll be a figurehead and the Reps who have him in their pocket will make him a laughing stock. Stand up Mr. President - where is your pride and integrity?

I love him and hope he does the right thing - which is fulfilling the promises he made when he was running.

5. Remember when Reagan was president and the Republicans
kept saying Congress had to defer to him because he was the only person elected by the entire country? Maybe Dem's should remind them of this.

10. Well, they hate the media's portrayal of HCR.
And I don't buy that most people support the continuation of the give away to the top 1 percent.

But, your point is well taken.

9. Send him your suggestions. Use a stamp.
Nobody here can do what you ask. Only President Obama can. If you have suggestions for the President, it's fine to post them here, but he's not a DUer. You need to communicate with him.

11. I like your finishing line!
Let's use the postal service to get our message to the President! At this point in time, it's novel enough that it might have some effect. Maybe not, but it's worth a try.

LETTERS TO THE PRESIDENT!!!!!

SEND THEM!

SNAIL MAIL STYLE!

16. Me, too. I write lots of letters. I get lots of answers.
I even have one letter with a real signature from Jimmy Carter. Not a robosigned one.

Ths is to inform you that the President was elected by the whole country and has the obligation and the right to make decisions - even if they're WRONG.

Suck it up, Mitch...
