ON MULTIPLE CHEMICAL SENSITIVITY (MCS) EPIDEMIOLOGY COULD BE
GAINED BY LINKAGE OF THE ONGOING STUDIES OF US AND BRITISH
VETERANS WITH SIMILAR RESEARCH BEING CONDUCTED ON THE KUWAITI
CIVIL POPULATION. TO THIS END IT WAS DECIDED TO SEND A
REPRESENTATIVE TO A CONFERENCE HELD IN KUWAIT FROM 2 TO 6 APRIL
1994 FOR THE PURPOSE OF ASSESSING THE LONG TERM DAMAGE RESULTING
FROM THE IRAQI OCCUPATION OF THE COUNTRY AND THE WARS OF INVASION
AND LIBERATION. THIS CONFERENCE WAS SPONSORED BY KUWAIT
UNIVERSITY. FORTUITOUSLY, A US UNIVERSITY IS CONDUCTING A
COLLABORATIVE PROJECT WITH THE AL-HARBI RESEARCH GROUP AT KUWAIT
UNIVERSITY FACULTY OF MEDICINE INVOLVING VARIABLE EXPRESSION OF
TWO CELL SURFACE ANTIGENS (ADENOSINE DEAMINASE AND CD26) WHICH
CORRELATE STRONGLY WITH MCS DEVELOPMENT. TRAVEL EXPENSES WERE
PROVIDED BY THE PEROT GROUP, HOTEL AND OTHER EXPENSES BY KUWAIT
UNIVERSITY. IN THE TIME SINCE THE LIBERATION OF KUWAIT FROM
IRAQI FORCES IN MARCH OF 1991, LARGE NUMBERS OF US MILITARY
VETERANS OF THE CONFLICT HAVE SUFFERED INCREASINGLY SEVERE
DETERIORATION OF GENERAL HEALTH. VICTIMS MANIFEST SYMPTOMS MOST
CLOSELY RESEMBLING MCS, A DISORDER SEEN HERETOFORE PRIMARILY IN
INDIVIDUALS ACCIDENTALLY EXPOSED TO HIGH CONCENTRATIONS OF
ORGANIC TOXINS. THE US VETERANS ADMINISTRATION AND OTHER
GOVERNMENT AGENCIES HAVE BEEN RELUCTANT TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE
EXISTENCE OF WAR RELATED HEALTH PROBLEMS AMONG THOSE WHO SERVED

12. SOLDIERS KILLED WITH BIOLOGICAL WARFARE

TITLE--DISEASE EPIDEMICS OVERWHELM IRAQI CITIES. FIFTY
SOLDIERS WERE KILLED BY THEIR OWN BIOLOGICAL WEAPON.
2. (U) FIFTY SOLDIERS DIED FROM SPORULATED ANTHRAX (SPORES)
EXPOSURE DUE TO THE DESTRUCTION OF ONE OF THE MICROBIOLOGICAL
DEPOTS IN THE "BAGHDAD" MILITARY AREA THAT DOES DEVELOPMENT AND
PRODUCTION OF BW, FOLLOWING BOMBARDMENT WITH 2,000 POUND BOMBS
FROM B-52'S.
3. (U) THE IRAQI AUTHORITIES TOOK ABOUT A HUNDRED SOLDIERS TO A
HOSPITAL IN BAGHDAD WHERE DOCTORS FAILED TO TREAT THEM (THE
MEDICAL TREATMENT FAILED). AN EGYPTIAN PHYSICIAN TOLD AL HAKIKA,
FOLLOWING HIS ESCAPE FROM THE HOSPITAL AND CROSSING THE SYRIAN
BORDER, THAT THE MICROBE IS STILL AT THE HOSPITAL AND EFFORTS IN
ERADICATING (DECONTAMINATING) THE AREA HAVE NOT BEEN SUCCESSFUL.
HE ADDED "THE IRAQI SOLDIERS THAT DIED UPON ARRIVAL AT THE
HOSPITAL WERE THE ONES GUARDING THE FACILITY. THIS EXPLAINS THEIR
EXPOSURE TO LARGE DOSES OF THE ORGANISM THAT CAUSED ACUTE
PULMONARY INFLAMMATION (INFECTION) AND BLOOD POISONING AND
INTESTINAL POISONING. ALL EFFORTS TO TREAT THEM FAILED".
4' (U) THIS PHYSICIAN ASSERTED THAT A LOT OF DISEASES HAVE
SPREAD IN THE IRAQI CITIES OF BASRA, BAGHDAD, MOSUL AND TIKRIT.
HE SUSPECTS THAT THESE DISEASES ARE RESULTING FROM DESTRUCTION OF
FACILITIES THAT DEAL IN THE ARENA OF RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT
(PRODUCTION) OF BW; THE MAJORITY OF THESE FACILITIES ARE LOCATED
IN THE SUBURBS OF BAGHDAD.

Let's see, what other excuses will the chickenhawks, so hot to send other people's kids off to kill and die for the betterment of chickenhawk bank accounts, use to minimize and deny any culpability?

For those of you angry about the dirty fucking hippies whenever we're out there protesting war, this is part of why we're protesting. It's not that we hate America or the troops. We just think it's criminally negligent (or worse) to send men and women off to other countries to kill the locals and die at their hands (or at the hands of their comrades in arms) and then subject them to this constellation of physical, psychological and spiritual misery, all the while telling the sufferers that it's their own goddam fault they're sick.

But in America as presently constituted, that's the way the lines are drawn, with the DFH's painted as hostile to the ideals of the country, while the war profiteers and the authors of crimes against humanity are lionized in the popular media and retire in comfort to snifters of fine brandy and expensive cigars.
