Pop Quiz--National Threat Advisory vs. 5-day Weather Forecast
Pop quiz-how many people know, without checking, whether today's threat level is green (low), blue (guarded), yellow (elevated), orange (high), or red (severe)?

Now, how many know the five-day weather forecast?

I'm going to guess that more people know the pollen level than know the threat level.

Extra credit question--how many people actually give a hoot about the National Threat Advisory and check the Homeland Security website before emerging from a basement full of canned food, bottled water and flashlights?

1. Our local weather forecasters cannot tell you what the
weather will be five hours from now. That should tell you how accurate they are five days from now.

3. When I travelled to the west coast a couple of weeks ago, they said it was ORANGE!
The loudspeakers at each airport were regularly blaring that the HSA had raised the threat assessment level to ORANGE. That was the only time I heard a think about it.

5. The threat level is reported weekly on American Dad.
Right there on Stan Smith's refridgerator.
