It could have been worse. Out of the top tea party candidates, 4 out of 5 lost, with Rand Paul. These were the ones that came with a great big endorsement from Sarah Palin. Keith Olbermann predicts that Sharron Angle and Christine O'Donnell will have their very own TV shows before long. I don't know what's in store for Joe Miller and Ken Buck, but perhaps Fox now has its base covered!
I personally believe that the "real" repub base, the "moderates" might come back with a little more broadmindedness, because a great deal of the GOP extreme right, and religious right, could eventually stick with the tea party, and allow the extremists to foster their primordial instinct more there.
Our very own party might be getting stronger, because many of them actually fought ON their record in this election. I think they accomplished a fair amount of items so far these past 20 months, but obviously there is a ways to go.
As far as "buyer's remorse" on some of the bums who got enough votes to get in, the House of Representatives has a new election every 2 years. Just enough to keep some of the idiots from establishing enough cred to be electable again.
Nothing they can do in the House need pass in order for us to maintain a stalemate. And there is nothing they can do in the Senate that we need to be worried about. 2012 will be a challenge, but if we can keep up a certain amount of impetus, and accomplish some things that show instant gain for people overall, we can keep our government from getting into the hands of the morons out there.
