Need a fact researched about Republican spending this election
Trying to write a letter to the editor making the point that corporate money bought the election.

Democrats were outspent by a factor of X times because of corporate money. Or something like that. What number is X or is there a better phrase?

People are asking the question as to what the Republican wins in the election mean. Does it mean that the people want Republican control? Does it mean we should repeal health care reform or phase out Medicare and Social Security? When the Supreme Court deregulated corporate money, ruling that corporations were people, and allowed them to dump billions into the election, it proved that it worked. With enough corporate money you can buy an election.

We have free speech in America but free speech freedom to speak. It doesn't mean it doesn't cost money. The more money you have the louder your "free speech" is. So when corporations dump billions into the election their free speech becomes louder than the free speech of the people. All this election proved is that money talks. Noe we have the golden rule. He who has the gold makes the rule.
