My heart is broken
Michele Bachmann won. I haven't been able to post since then. It has just been too hard. As Tarryl Clark said in her speech on election night, "We did not win, but we are not defeated." But it is so hard to get up and keep fighting today.

4. Take a few days off and don't think about it.

If the Dems can lose big then they'll win big again. All it will take is a few years of Republican disaster to bring the fickle independents back to the light.

5. I gave Terryl $20 . . . I wish it couldn've been $1,000
The only other I could afford to eek out money to was Russ.

I know it hurts
I teared up when I read her last email. Take a break from politics for a little while.

Remember, they want us to give up. We just can't.

Maybe to save costs, the Stepford factory installs Ray-o-vac instead of Duracell.

7. If she becomes Speaker
maybe her winning will turn out to be a blessing in disguise.

9. There was so much money coming in for Bachmann
you really didn't have a chance.
Personally I want Bachmann to try to get the leadership position of her party. I have a feeling she'd get her knives out if she wasn't taken seriously

10. True. Republlcans/Corporate always have deep pockets.
Dems don't have any money. All intellect and no cash.

12. And Clark seemed to have rallied in the last month
I remember some debate they were doing and Tarryl was surrounded by fans when she arrived. Bachmann came in late and had no crowds greeting her.

13. Think how boring things would be without her.
You wouldn't be able to play "Where's Michele?" in the bushes!

16. Oh, dear! wellstone dem! Many, many hugs!
Please take plenty of rest, do some nice things for yourself, and then . . . keep organizing.

Think about new stuff to do. Look for new peeps to do new things with.

I know how you feel; our governor is now Subsidy-Sam "Jesus plus Nothing" Brownback!!! ALL but one of our fine candidates, many of whom were incumbents, lost to second rate religious fanatics.

I know you're probably tired of hearing it, but the ONLY thing to do with despair is to keep on working. Try to find work that is the essence of the fight and please just come back here and don't be embarrassed to tell your DU friends that you need our support.

 always!!
