Ya know what's funny? The CONs ran against unemployment.
Now the RepubliCONs -- who never gave a shit about high unemployment and don't now -- have to actually pretend to do something about it.

It's like hearing them complain about the deficit . . . or the gushing oil well in the Gulf. Since when did they ever care about the either deficit spending or the environment?

This should be interesting . . . stay tuned.

1. I hope I'll be able to laugh.
The only idea they have ever had is "cut taxes."

2. Wonder if they'll extend benefits for the 99'ers. That is
a question a 'reporter' should ask during one of these bull pucky press conferences the pukes are giving. I'd love to hear the answer to that one!

3. Well, Indiana's main puke, Mitch Daniels is way ahead of the pack...
He is increasing the cost of unemployment insurance to employers, which will end up being passed on to the workers and consumers, and decreasing unemployment benefits.

Too bad it will apply to all, and not just the idiots who voted them in.

4. I get the feeling we're going to hear very little about the horrible DEFICIT! PANIC!
now that the Pukes have the House . . .

5. Nobody will remember that in three weeks from now
And when the Republicans start in on their real agenda (which - surprise - will have nothing to do with jobs for most people), they'll pretend that these were this was their plan all along. The media will betray no inkling that it was any different, ever. Get ready for endless "investigations" of bogus scandals, more Terri Schiavo-like circuses, and passage of a bunch of dead-end legislation solely to curry favor with the Nitwit Brigade base.*

*Something the progressive base for the Democrats never has to worry about.

6. Even better, what are they going to do to turn things around over the next two years?
If they don't play the victim card, they've got nothing. Their ONLY answer to everything is to cut social services, especially Social Security and Medicare/Medicaid. Defense is off the table.

Their excuses begin in 3....2....1....
