Poll question: Has the BP spill affected your seafood consumption?
I was in the grocery store last night, and I completely bypassed
the fish. I did this because I'm unclear if it is safe, and frankly,
I have no faith in our government to tell us the truth about the
seafood.

I feel bad for the men and women who make their living catching
and selling fish.

I was wondering if others have changed their fish consumption
since the BP oil disaster.

1. I eat local (GA) shrimp and oysters now, but otherwise no change.

2. I'm eating more fish now than before.
seriously. I try to determine where it came from but that's not always easy.

5. I think that's why I have completely stopped...
I'm in a hurry when I'm in the grocery store. I don't have time
to read the fine print--and sometimes it's difficult to find the
origin of the seafood on the packaging.

No for now, I'm not buying any.

4. I'm in Maine, so eat local lobster occasionally
local clams occasionally. And local schrod or tuna and salmon.

I never was a shrimp or oyster eater and now I most certainly never will be. And I don't think the tuna I eat comes from the gulf.
