It's nice to be reminded of accomplishments and good news once in awhile.

I'm sure it's been posted here before, but I just learned of it so perhaps others might be unaware of its existence. I know I needed to see it. It's far too easy for me to focus on what isn't being done than what is.

The best part is that I got a right-wing co-worker to read it too. He was floored. If you read my commentary last week, he's the bloke who advocated bombing Muslims off the globe. I was pleasantly surprised that he got the message and appreciated it. He was indeed humbled and actually had a few complimentary things to say about Obama.

1. My problem with that site

I've seen it before, and I've seen other lists like it. It oversells alot of "his" accomplishments. They tend to include as "accomplishments" things that haven't even happened yet, like closing gitmo, and credit him with things he didn't actually do like "ending torture" or "passing Lilly Leadbetter". He signed it, but had nothing to do with its passage.

3. True, I immediately noticed it didn't credit congress' involvement in the process, but...

It does counter the prevailing thought among my right-wing co-workers that nothing has been done in the past two years. Seriously, I've had some of them think absolutely nothing has been done.
