The above text provided by Right Wing Watch lays out how the Texas chapter of the Phyllis Schlafly-founded Eagle Forum wants Muslims banned from the military, banned from political office, and banned from having government jobs.

For those blissfully unaware, the Eagle Forum is the once powerful (but recently resurgent) Christianist group that seeks to install a theocratic U.S. government. They were founded in 1972 as Stop ERA (the Equal Rights Amendment), which they did. Last year their Texas chairwoman was also the chairwoman of the Texas GOP.

To the Editor,

It was disclosed recently that General Colin Powell has endorsed Barack Obama For President, criticizing his own Republican Party for what he called its narrow focus on irrelevant personal attacks over a serious approach to challenges he called unprecedented.

This would be news by itself, but it was Powell’s focus on one hero that caught my attention.

“Is there something wrong with being a Muslim in this country? The answer is no. That’s not America. Is there something wrong with a 7-year-old Muslim-American kid believing he or she could be president? Yet I have heard senior members of my own party drop the suggestion that he is a Muslim and might have an association with terrorists. This is not the way we should be doing it in America.

“I feel particularly strong about this because of a picture I saw in a magazine. It was a photo essay about troops who were serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. And one picture at the tail end of this photo essay was of a mother at Arlington Cemetery and she had her head on the headstone of her son’s grave. And as the picture focused in, you could see the writing on the headstone, and it gave his awards — Purple Heart, Bronze Star — showed that he died in Iraq, gave his date of birth, date of death, he was 20 years old. And then at the very top of the head stone, it didn’t have a Christian cross. It didn’t have a Star of David. It has a crescent and star of the Islamic faith.

“And his name was Kareem Rashad Sultan Khan. And he was an American. He was born in New Jersey. He was 14 years old at the time of 9/11, and he waited until he could serve his country and he gave his life.”

Mr. Powell’s beautiful words of sacrifice and unity should remind us that Americans have to work together for what is best for America and stop demonizing those who may be different than us. Excellent choice, Mr. Powell, and beautifully written.

16. How eerily familiar this sounds. Allow me to re-write.

In Germany, there are Jewish groups across the country actively planning attacks on German soil. Young Germans are being corrupted by the Jew in our jails, our military, public schools and universities, and in churches that preach tolerance. Jews have gained two seats in the Reichstag and have won seats in state and local races. Public school textbooks are becoming pro-Jew and anti-Christian. Jews are buying Fortune 500 companies and high tech companies. There is a Jewish stock market index. Jewish banks, insurance companies and mortgage companies are springing up across the country. Our open borders welcome Jews.

The challenge to Germany is to stop the spread of the Jew in Germany before it is too late.

SOLUTIONS:

1. Our government MUST outlaw Halakah and international law
2. Eliminate Jewish government employees
3. Outlaw Jewish terrorist organizations in Germany
4. Jews should be ineligible to run for political office
5. All Jewish military personnel should be removed from the German armed forces
6. Monitor synagogues and temples.
7. Shut down Jewish terrorist training camps (also known as Hebrew schools) in the Germany

Are you going to be the kind of German who goes back to tending your house and kids, to your job and paying your bills, to reading your newspaper and watching your sports teams, without ever REALLY raising a protest? When our Muslims are being imprisoned and/or murdered in the night, are you going to claim that you didn't know that it would "go this far", that you didn't seriously think that your government was capable of this kind of evil? People like Phyllis Schlafly have taken over the Republican Party--literally--and they are already winning elections. It's 1930 and the Teanazis are slowly gaining power. We still have time to stop them at this early stage, but we have to take the threat seriously before we can hope to thwart it. I'm sure that the Germans thought that the early rumblings were all just hyperbole too--until the glass started breaking and the jackboots started stomping.

We must take this seriously. Those who shrug off the lessons of history will certainly regret it.

One of the first details that Nazi Germany got out of the way before committing genocide was dividing people into two groups; "citizens", who had all the rights and privileges, and "subjects", who just lived in Germany without the same rights and privileges.
