"There's no such thing as a conservative hero."

I read this in a book the other day (I'll only mention which one if someone asks).

I find it very true. The context in the book mentioned that true heroes are people who change things and move them forward. They are NOT people who defend the status quo, or take things back to some imagined prior glory.

To sum up, we DUers are potential heroes. We are on a hero's journey, and have faced a setback as is common in all such journeys. Whether we are true heroes or not will be determined by how we react to this adversity.

Are we up to the challenge?

It's not so much the definition of the word that has changed, as it is the utter delusional hypocrisy of those who use it to describe themselves.
