1. What can we do to support her? I saw this morning a couple of Dems

(who looked like Republicans to me - just sayin') saying it was time to move forward.

I am SO HAPPY to hear this! I have grown to respect and appreciate her SO MUCH!

3. I wrote my congressman to support her.

Obviously, if your Rep is R, that won't work.

4. My rep probably already does -- Inslee (I'm so lucky!). How does it work, do

you know? Do the members of the caucus vote? Does the POTUS have any say? Thanks for any info.

5. If it's anything like my state's (which I think it is)

The members of the Democratic caucus vote. POTUS may state his preferences, possibly, as would others, but only the House members have an official say.

7. Thanks. One of the commentators on MSNBC (forget his name - young guy,

pretty sharp) said that Pelosi's a sharp politician and she wouldn't announce this if she didn't have the votes. We'd hear that regarding votes in the House, too - that she wouldn't move forward without knowing they'd be successful. That's encouraging! :hi:

if at all possible, so no one loses face. Heath Shuler jumped the gun and will now get his ass waxed for doing so publicly.

The irony that we lose her and get to keep Reid et al. She didn't do exactly what we progressives wanted, but she got the bills through the House in spite of the shit she had to deal with, repukeliKans, blue dogs, etc.

I'm glad she will be the Minority Leader. It will drive The Boner even more nuts, if that's possible.

and hardworking and has gotten very little of the credit that she deserves.
