be punished.

32. Thank you.
It's funny how some people don't understand that. Don't watch Rachel and Lawerence, and before long Rachel and Lawrence don't have a show.

10. MSNBC dares to silence our best voice in the media and you can't
even support a boycott designed to put the squeeze on them to return Keith?

Alrighty then...

4. Better yet, cut the cable completely
TV-free for twenty years.

Best thing my wife and I ever did for ourselves.

Try it - you'll see an instant improvement in your overall well-being.

You'll miss some of it for a little while, but not for long.

5. I turned it off the minute I heard this news.
And will not turn it on again until MSNBC puts Keith back on the air AND publicly apologizes to the viewers for their error.

13. No, I will not...
I'm not going to punish Rachel, Ed, and Lawrence for something they had nothing to do with.

I will be emailing them until they bring back Kieth and I will not watch Keith's time slot, either.

14. Sorry, I will not boycott Rachel & Lawrence. I loved Keith's show, but
Keith is a big boy & he knew what was n his contract. If he forgot, or thought he was too important to MSNBC or something else, who knows, but I happen to think hhe ill get this worked out with the network and he'll be back. Depending on who they have fill in for Keith will determine wether I will watch at 8pm or not.

17. +1
If we boycott MSNBC we'll lose all the other progressives they've put in their evening lineup.

What we need to do is all call & write MSNBC and ask that they reinstate Olbermann. Maybe give him a month unpaid and then return him.

Actually I'm a bit disappointed in Keith. He once said he didn't vote because it went against his objectivity. Well doesn't donating do the same exact thing?

15. You're kidding me aren't you? I mean we can't even get people to turn off Fox
And I don't mean the news channel. I mean geez, how many DUers are addicted to watching American Idol or The Simpsons. They all help profit Murdoch just like watching Faux News.

21. we will get support but let's do something smart that shows we love our progressive shows
and not dumb that will have MSNBC killing off Ed Schultz, Rachel Maddow and Lawrence O'Donnell too.

18. I will boycott them.
There are plenty of people who will also. Not goodbye Keith, he'll be back as the ratings fall.

Don't give up! Progressives are being targeted everywhere lately, including on Democratic boards like this. That means we are having an impact! They don't bother with people who are not.

23. So you would boycott knowing this would also hurt 3 other shows with progressive hosts...
like Rachel Maddow, Ed Schultz and Lawrence O'Donnell?

I'm just as upset as everyone else but I don't want to jeopardize the only channel that has 4 shows with progressive hosts.

I would rather do heavy calling & emailing until we pester them to death that we want Keith back.

26. I would expect those three to protest also.
Edited on Fri Nov-05-10 03:10 PM by sabrina 1
Keith did nothing to deserve this suspension, especially according to their own rules:

"If a contribution, monetary or otherwise, to a candidate or group with a political or social agenda could create the appearance of a conflict of interest due to the employee’s responsibilities at MSNBC.com, the contribution must receive the prior approval of the section Executive Producer or Editor in Chief.

No conflict of interest, since Keith's views are well known so he was not required as you can see, to report his political contributions.

If this was another network, at least two of those you mentioned above, Rachel and Ed, would be tearing that network apart. I expect they will protest as both have integrity and a great sense of justice. Rachel, eg, wouldn't have a show if it wasn't for Keith. But I have faith in their sense of justice. A walkout by all the liberal hosts, or just the threat of one, would get Keith back on the air tonight.

And I will do what I can to protest their biased decision.
