4. Two different companies
two different contracts... but yep, that is the way it is in modern America.

I am sure some graduate student in fifty years, when researching the fall of Empire, will have LOTS of fun with this.

9. Does KO work for Fox?
It never worked for me as a kid to complain about being punished for something the kid down the street gets away with doing.

10. Say you got into a fist fight with your neighbor and you got charged with assault
while nothing whatsoever happened to him?

You'd be okay with that, right?

Doesn't matter what happens to the other guy...

11. What a silly analogy. In that case everyone is subject to the same penalties of the law.
This is not "the law", but the rules of a particular company and each company is different.

Life is about choices and consequences. If you violate a clause in your contract you pay the consequences and not whine that somebody at another company does the same thing and gets away with it. KO is a big boy and I'm sure he will handle it, and I'm sure he is well aware that life is not fair.

12. If the public views the news as news (which we know it really isn't)
Then there's a big problem with one network having rules against left-leaning commentators while another has no rules governing the far-right ones.

16. Different contracts
Contracts are private arrangements. We don't have to like what happened to Keith to deal with this fact.

If Beck's contract doesn't contain a clause that he can't encourage riots . . there is it.
