3. I have a little more knowledge of how it works than most here
and don't be surprised if the only way K.O. will be back will depend on if WE make it impossible for them to keep him gone.

9. Ha! I will bet you he is back on the air within a couple of weeks.
He will make nice with Griffin(apologize) and all will be forgiven. That's what happens with top rated hosts.

4. What does his contract with MSNBC say?
How specific is it? I think it all boils down to that.

7. it appears it is one of those areas
that depends on how you read it. Just like when Rachel was trying to answer Scott Brown and found out after she had started a website that by her contract she couldn't do it so she took it down. I have been in broadcasting and believe me contracts are used in many ways. It isn't as cut and dry as you might think.

14. Hmmm....
Then it would seem that the person who said this is just office politics, a power play by Phil Griffin, is likely right.

10. there a several threads so I suggest
you go back and find the ones that are the most factual. I would give you a link but there are so many that the one I thought the best is just too big a hassle for me to go back and get rapidly.

15. Ok tell me this
I have been with a broadcast network so I have a little bit of knowledge about how it works. Now let's just see what kind of experience you have and let's see who would know better since you seem to suggest you know more than I do about these things. One of us doesn't know as much as the other and I bet in this case I might be the one who knows the most, but yet you are the one making a claim that this is a false issue. Well, I completely disagree and based on experience and knowledge of the way it works I challenge you to state why you think I am wrong and on what experience you have that would equal mine.

16. You lost me at "you seem to suggest you know more than I do about these things"
Edited on Fri Nov-05-10 07:08 PM by slackmaster
I might engage in a conversation with you some time, but I can't tolerate that kind of condescension.

I don't have to choose to "support" either one of the parties in your poll. I think it's possible for them both to be in the wrong, and I am not required to have an interest in which one of them ultimately "wins" their dispute, if indeed they have one. It's a basic logic thing. You screwed it up by not providing a "None of the above" option.

17. You called it false which is total BS
Now I have some experience with this type thing and I know quite a bit more than you unless you have been in the broadcast media. So you challenged my statement and you got proven to be unqualified to make such a statement and calling me a liar. SO much for your credibility on this discussion.

18. Evidently you are not familiar with the term "false dilemma"
Edited on Fri Nov-05-10 09:59 PM by slackmaster
It's a type of logical fallacy, also called a false choice or black-and-white thinking or just an oversimplification.

http://www.nizkor.org/features/fallacies/false-dilemma.html

Now I have some experience with this type thing and I know quite a bit more than you unless you have been in the broadcast media.

The issue I raised is one of logic, not the broadcast media. Appeal to authority is another type of logical fallacy, BTW.

http://www.nizkor.org/features/fallacies/appeal-to-authority.html

So you challenged my statement...

No, I challenged only the structure of your poll. Learn about the Red Herring while you're at it.

http://www.nizkor.org/features/fallacies/red-herring.html

...you got proven to be unqualified to make such a statement and calling me a liar.

Where did I call you a liar? Your OP doesn't even contain any statements. It asks a question.
