Rep. Dicks: 'Bloodbath' looming over government spending

A "bloodbath" is brewing in Congress over the issue of domestic government spending, now that Republicans have taken control of the U.S. House, says Washington state's longest-serving member of Congress.

U.S. Rep. Norm Dicks, 18-term Democratic congressman from the state's 6th District, made the stark prediction Friday during an interview on Newsline A.M. with John Carlson on KOMO News Radio.

"On the domestic discretionary spending its going to be a bloodbath, there's no question about it," Dicks said.
