monopolies, and how corrosive they are
last time I checked 98% of all consumed media wise, was produced by five companies.

Now MSNBC is about to become part of COMCAST which is in bed with Fox's empire...

Need any of you need connecting of dots?

We do not have a media controlled by the Government, we have a media controlled by corporations. And the monopolies need a lot of breaking. Yes it is that simple.

And to those saying well it is just a violation of contract (grain of truth there), it is bigger than just a damn fucking contract...

It is amazing how people cannot connect them dots... and I will say it. The NAZIs would be proud of the RW media we have in this country.

1. I'm amazed at the "make government smaller" crowd like the Grover Norquists of America
They have demonized government (remember Reagan's "nine words?"), so now we have an anti-government fervor in this country.

But, doesn't it ever occur to Teapublicans that corporations are the only alternative to "government?" Do Teapublicans really believe corporate CEOs, acting in secret for the benefit of investors, have the best interests of this country at heart? Why are they so agreeable to having corporations run the show?

It stands to reason if you want a "government" of, for, and by the people, that would be a government elected by those same people. If you don't like the present government, you vote. That keeps it honest, efficient, and transparent. You can't do the same if you don't like "the corporation"--you have, in essence, turned over your power of the ballot to a group of investors and their board of directors. And your needs may be the last thing on their minds...

I don't understand why "the people" don't understand that...

3. People are focusing on the contract here
instead of the bigger fucking picture.

As to the Tea Partiers, more than just a few hate big corporations as much as you do... find common ground because if the media is to be re-regulated this congress they will have to WORK with the dems... would be ironic as shit by the way.
