I'VE HAD ENOUGH ...TELL ME WHERE
my Democratic business owners are? Where is my Democratic owned grocery store? Where is my Democratic owned dry cleaners, real estate reps, shoe stores.

I want to take my money to them to build economic power with those who have some of the same beliefs that I do.I want to spend my dollars where it will help build up their businesses. I don't want to give a repug any dime that I can keep from them. They may get me for utilities and gas, but damn it I am going to try and control what ever little money I have left to make sure they don't get it.They steal elections and whatever else they want but I choose not to Commerce with the Chamber of Commerce.

Duers that have businesses should be getting together to make the economic situation of the Democrats better. I willing Where ARE YOU??????

1. This time of the year, check out your local
arts & crafts holiday fairs/shows/bazaars. You may not be able to get your groceries there, but you can talk to the individual crafts people and find out their politics. You'll also be able to buy usually better crafted than the plastic crap that comes from China.

Check out local farmers' markets -- again, talk to the sellers.

49. Imagine if 40,000,000 liberals united against bad companies, etc...
With the internet we could form a massive boycott system and any company that went afoul could be put out of business or at least forced to succumb to our demands.

Our voices could overwhelm every dollar on the face of the planet. If we stuck together and people acted with principles.

5. I know I have come across lists of blue businesses, but right now I can't find them.
I do remember reading, for example, that Costco is a blue company.

Good luck.

This reminds me of the speech by Malcolm X on supporting black businesses.

I wish there were the same for poor businesses... talk about an oxymoron...:(

6. I stopped buying from known republicans 15 years ago.
I also got an Allstate Insurance franchise owner fired and stripped of his franchise. I took him to court over a deliberate non payment of a valid claim and I recorded all of our telephone conversations I later used as evidence. Because of my lawsuit his business was closed down.

How did I know he was a right winger? Answer: Everytime I went to his office their radios were on Rush Limblah's program. I not only won my court case I managed to get that right winger's business closed down. Btw, I represented myself in court. Over the years I've been to small claims court 7 times to sue a business for acting illegally or unethically. I won all seven cases because I did all the preparations very thoroughly. I never used an attorney.

I'm going to follow your lead and make sure almost none of my money ends up in a republican's hands. Thanks for the post!

8. I am simply going to STOP spending any money.
I will purchase only groceries, meds, cat food, and replace whatever breaks. Beyond that, nothing. On X-mas day, I will present my family with gift cards, so they can purchase what they want at the after X-mas sales, at deep discounts. My mini-van is dead and my hubby doesn't want to spend the money to fix it, so I can't go anywhere to spend any money any way.

33. How 'bout we do it the other way?
We patronize only those businesses that have the most underpaid workers, because that way we will be supporting the workers even though most of the profits will go to the owners and the workers will never see another penny.

That way we can let the more progressive companies fail, putting THEIR workers out of work, so they can go to work for the SUCCESSFUL companies that we've been supporting!

Of course, they'll have to take a pay cut and lose their benefits, and then we can feel even more sorry for them and support their employers even more, because eventually it will all TRICKLE DOWN TO THE EMPLOYEES.

Right? Isn't that the way it's supposed to work?

:sarcasm: because I'm still not going to support rightwing-owned businesses.

I'm just not willing to punish workers over their bosses politics. That's what we're talking about here. I live in a red state and I'm trying to find a job. I don't have the luxury to check into a potential employer's politics and use that as a basis to make a decision.

I want you to find employment. But if we as Democrats unite with our commerce dollars you may be able to find a job with one of us. Look the reason they have fear on lockdown is because Americans get comfortable doing things the same way. The Repugs has acted if they are the holy job creators. Can't you see they sent jobs away and phased them out to country's that will have workers for 2.00 a day. And if you get a job that doesn't have fair wages you will still suffer. Because you will be working long hours just to pay a bill. Not some bills. I wish you luck in finding a job, but I hope you find an employer who isn't republican because they won't get a dime of my damn money. Good Luck!!!!

But my point stands.

Food on the table and roof over head is exactly what's used to control people. There comes a time when one has to take some risks to take a stand.

And yes, I have been homeless for my values in the past, and have sacrificed mightily on a personal level for a decade. Not bragging or being self-righteous, just saying that if we always draw the line at staying employed, we'll never get far.

What *IS IT* with Democrats that so many of them don't
have the stomach for anything at all?

59. No, we don't. You seem worried about your job and I certainly understand that,
but we are in a war and it's way past time our side started fighting back.

I hate to break it to you, but we are completely fucked for the foreseeable future and there is nothing we can do to stop it, so the best thing we can do it to make sure we come out the other side with a better understanding of what works and what doesn't to preserve our society.

82. I always favor businesses that support Democrats/progressives over those
that support Republicans. ALWAYS! When it's a choice between two businesses that sell similar items, I go with the one that gives to Dems. It's MY money they're donating, after all. Why the hell should I give it to Republicans if I don't have to?

38. let's see....
I'm sure you could check the FEC rolls to see which companies contributed to which campaigns. That's a good starting place.

And, as an extra I know that Costco and WinCo (if you are in Washington, Idaho Nevada or California) all give to Democratic causes, so that takes care of where to buy your groceries.

I've been doing that for quite a while, but it's hard to find a wing-nut store here in the UK.

It just makes me angry that republicans are doing the same thing. They have banned their money and support each other. There is no reason why we should not support our businesses who hire and deal with people fairly. We should learn to patronize one anothers businesses and build economic power amongst our selves.I see nothing wrong with being pro-active with our voices, emails, and our hard earned loot!!!!!

55. and thats
how we get started. We need to have a place where these businesses can be listed by state. Then when we need certain things we use are Democratic coalition to get it. I am not going to let them control my money. I am not giving them no more economic power to work against the people of America. Now others can do what they want but my money will go to businesses that have Democratic owners. I will no longer knowingly give away my economic power to those who posses to much already!!!!!!!!

I don't know if this can get some traction. But these Bastards have went too far. The only thing they understand is money. So maybe its time they start feeling what its like to have Rand Paul's dream come true. Bitch. Yea I'm mad as HELL. I am sick of their shit. I tried being the voice of reason I wanted to try and use the ballot as my weapon but now all I see is some form of action must be done.

The Revolution should start with economic power. I am sorry this is fucking WAR and Damn it I am looking for soldiers. Not for violence, but for the voice of one party and Nation to STAND UP and be HEARD. Yes it took years for the effect of most boycotts to work. But when they did there was change. Yes we are hungry, yes we are tired, and yes we are fucking weary, but if I have one good breath left it will be for the truth. And the truth is that as a society we have been played by the Billionaires Boys Club and they want to control the world.Maybe now its time for the real Wall Street Margin call. And Fuck it if I have to feed my neighbor, because I'm doing that anyway,I will just put another cup of water in the soup and make an extra pan of cornbread.:patriot: :patriot: :patriot:

69. And I am with you on that I will not, can not, am not, giving
Republican businesses any of my money even if I work for them in some kind of unknown corporate way. Fuck them I should be able to work at their shit and not spend a dime in their economy. And I'm saying this because I know there are some of us who must work for or with them. No need to get into any more talk. Take action silently but with economic power. Don't contribute to the cause. Go to work, speak as usual and all the other common courtesies that one must do to get along. If a repug is your friend and you want to give them money in a time of need like house fire or death in the family, I see that, but anything else. Fuck them.
Take your money out of their banks get rid of those credit cards if you have any left and pay off those balances. Dig up a spot in the backyard in the spring and grow a small garden produce enough vegetables for a whole winter depending on what you grow. Hell you can make a starter sauce with ripe tomatoes for spaghetti and pizzas.Use your friends to help you find businesses that have owners that participate in the Democratic process. I know their are some with 401k's but you must make up in your mind if you are willing to take the penalties and taxes for early withdrawal. Or are you going to let them steal the last dime you have and get it all. Because make no mistake if they are trying to get rid of Our President they are planning to wipe us all out!!!!!!

There is not a sincere bone in their heartless bodies. And any body who thinks that their precious investments are so good I'll make sure when I get that 50 dollar check from BOA, I'll buy you a fucking drink!!!!!

And the more of their businesses close the more Democratic businesses can expand.

75. And you are
soOOOOO right!!! We keep giving up the one thing we really do have control over our economic power. There will be some who say oh no don't do that. No, Be like Nike "JUST DO IT". They don't give a damn whether you live. Hell they have insurance on you without your permission so you can die. Mr. Grayson was right. They want you to die quickly, so that why they don't want you to have health care,de-regulations to pollute your food, water, and air. Then they can collect this unholy amount of money after you die and your family may or may not see a dime. They can take whatever the fuck they want to do with their businesses and leave me alone. I want to spend the money I have left with people on the left. I quite sure there are people on the left doing business who wouldn't mind getting my business.

I appreciate it. I just feel if they can steal twenty four percent of America's wealth...Lets put it like this- They want to take their country back, and we are coming to take our money back!!!! They have told us what Americans think, what we are, what to spend our money on, they have set the scenario for a long time. Its time Democrats take charge of their economic destiny. It is time to voice with your loot. Some of you don't have to tell anyone what you feel or think. Just start taking your money back. We wanted CHANGE well I think too many of us wanted it to come from our President. But I think the change must come from us. We must stop letting them create how shit should go. We should use the economic power to remind them how shit is!!!!!!
