For those that haven't stumbled on it, it's a classic Internet tale of a small, controlled circulation magazine (that means it is "free" to people who will be attractive to the magazine's advertisers). Anyway, Cooks Source evidently lifted an article from a blogger's site and ran it in their magazine without notifying the author. When she discovered the theft, she asked the editor for a correction and a donation to a journalism school. The editor got snarky and claimed that the entire Internet is public domain and the author should be paying the magazine for its editing services. Well, Cooks Source had a Facebook page and it has been swamped with ticked off Internet users, bloggers, and others. It is hilarious! Turns out, the editor seems to have been lifting photos, images, entire articles from all over the Internet for quite some time. Possibly including content from Disney!!! Martha Stewart, and other hyper-protective corporations.
