Any chance he'd like to try it as a newschannel?

Dan Rather Reports
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Dan Rather Reports is a weekly news television show hosted by former CBS news anchor Dan Rather that airs on HDNet. After being broadcast, episodes are available on DVD and in the iTunes Store. Like all HDNet programming it is broadcast in high definition.

The show premiered on November 14, 2006, when Rather was 75 years old. As host, correspondent, and narrator,<1> Rather had been given full creative and editorial control over the new program.<2> Rather planned to focus the show on field correspondence news, investigative journalism, and politics.<3> The hour-long show is broadcast commercial-free on Tuesdays at 8:00 pm ET (rebroadcast at 11:00).<1> Its longer format allows for more in-depth presentation of issues.<4>

Initially The New York Times commented that it "seems to favor Democrats who love America".<1>

In 2008, Dan Rather Reports was awarded a News and Documentary Emmy.<5> The show was also nominated for Emmy awards in 2007 and 2009.<6><7>
