The GOP = North Koreans
I was watching a movie about North Korea last night. This Nepalese Eye doctor came to NK to do surgery on a few hundred patients. You see, NK medicine is up there with Dark Age Europe. And if any money does come in, it goes right to the ruling family.

A woman had her eyesight restored, and she was crying with happiness that now "She could finally see the Great Leader again."

Then it dawned on me - those North Koreans are JUST like Republicans, except instead of the Great Leader its Rush Limbaugh, Sarah Palin and Ronald Mutherfucking Reagan.

They are getting raped daily by the GOP, yet they vote against their best interests because "THEY JUST LOVE LIMBAUGH" and "GLEN BECK IS THE ONLY REAL AMERICAN"

Just like North Koreans, they purposefully choose to be deluded. The North Koreans believe, despite evidence, that America has death camps for minorities. The GOP believes, despite evidence, that Obama is not an American citizen.

1. Yeah, but the RW pins all things North Korea on socialism.
Nevermind that the DPRK is a Stalinist autocracy, having approximately zero to do with socialism as it is practiced in the modern world.

2. True true - but the key word is autocracy
Specifically an Authoritarian Government

The GOP would love that kind of power

3. Not all North Koreans..

Some escaped to South Korea, to get away from the madness there. Many of them who are still there are afraid to say anything, and can only think about how bad their situation is.

6. No, but I am going to state the difference in degree is gargantuan.

Republicans don't believe Limbaugh or Beck can literally control the weather, or have such a juche metabolism that they never urinate. North Koreans are taught that kind of thing about Kim as government policy, and are cut off enough that they often end up believing it, not least because they have no legal choice not to.

Anyone talking in the US about how much it's like North Korea would be laughed out of the room by anyone who'd spent any time in or near that place, assuming they weren't slapped upside the head for being so deluded.

9. They may not think Limbaugh can change the weather, but they're sure Obama caused the oil spill
