Being fired and/or discontinued at the height of popularity. The pattern is certainly deja vu. The progressives have a voice on the tube, gaining power/popularity and the corporatists fire them. Hence, we are only tolerated as long as we are powerless but willing to pay money to be entertained.

I want to go back
To Mississippi
Where the Mississippi mud
kind'a mingles with the blood
of the ni**ers hanging from the trees.

Wow!
They put us to shame
