Thank you for standing on principal and declining to fill in for Keith tonight. Countdown should be boycotted by all viewers and all guests/hosts until Keith is reinstated. My TV is OFF!

4. I do not see how you not watching punishes them?

Raising hell with MSNBC, listing the sponsors and telling them they'll be boycotted and not watched, or whatever else we can collectively come up with to express our disapproval once we come out of our shock - those are things that will matter, and if properly applied and communicated will hurt them.

A quiet TV that they don't even know about is like insisting that at night it is darker than outside.

If you know what I mean.

That is the way TV ratings work. If people watch a different channel the estimated viewership count decreases and the ratings go down. Advertisement rates are determined by ratings. My TV may only be 1 but it is 1 that is tuned into MSNBC every weekday. When enough sets like mine stop tuning in it will be seen in the ratings.

Anyway, the point of this thread is to note an appreciation for the stand Chris Hayes took today.
