Snippet:

Insiders tell us that it's not llkely Keith Olbermann will return to the air...

Disgusting but not surprising.

Keith Olbermann appears to be done as far as MSNBC is concerned.

I got this very bad sick feel that it just may happen but until it's confirmed, I'm holding out for the better.

5. CNN would do well becoming the new left network. Hire Keith and Rachel and the progressive radio
hosts like Thom Hartman and Malloy and Bob Kincaid. It could become a paradise and a force we NEED.

9. You're not aware of who owns CNN, are you?
The progressive network thing is not gonna happen.

14. No, but... Time Warner is just a less colorful version of corporate evil
Frankly, MSNBC's relative progressivism continues to surprise me. No big corporation run by likeminded MBAs is going to be progressive in a way that challenges the existing social order.

20. Thanks so much!
I hope one day some of these megalomaniac ForProfit media types actually figure out that there really is a market for liberal broadcasting.

Among other things, pgodbold, you point toward an interesting fact: FoxNews has a radio offshoot, as does CNN. FoxNews uses its offshoot to provide wingnut talkshows to its affiliates. CNN Radio, however, is just news. Why NOT have a go at creating a liberal talk radio network? I suspect it would succeed. And maybe that, in and of itself, is the answer to my question.

7. Yep they were my absolutely favourite network
They are dead to me now. Rachel's show tonight is the last show that I will ever watch on MSNBC and then I am DONE.

11. I hope the insiders are wrong.
If he does leave MSNBC, I hope he ends up somewhere. He is one of the few sane voices left in the media and it would be a shame to see him gone.
