2. Old economic model
They don't need ratings or any of that old-fashioned stuff. They make money just occupying prime real estate on the cable listings. Doesn't matter if someone brings in viewers, they still make money putting anything on. They dumped Donahue because he didn't fit the corporate narrative, talking against war and stuff. They'll dump Olbermann, too.

5. Olberman has a huge following. I think there will be a fight for him to stay.
I'm writing in after this post. If the problem is coming from NBC, that is who we should boycott and complain to.

6. The fight started earlier today.
Once word got out the blogosphere exploded like Hiroshima! There are petitions, calls for Griffin to get fired, a gazillion tweets, etc., so it's gonna be a long night for everybody!

7. yep. He's gone from MSNBC. No way will they patch this up.
Oh well, maybe Cenk Uygur will get a permanent show, now.
