Right now there is a debate about the fundamental role of the government, how much it should do to support the people, and how much it should get out of the way.

THAT is the most basic of basics, and we can not even agree there.

The center supports war and torture and not holding people accountable for war. They support Wall St. before Main St. and are generally not for social programs. They do not support a National Healthcare system which is supported by a majority of Americans.

Actually, they would support or not support whatever they think will help them 'win'. Then when they do win, they don't want to lose so they argue that we cannot push for the things that matter to most Americans because they might lose.

The Center is sitting on a fence, trying to stay in power, that is their primary 'conviction'. They lean towards the right, but try to keep the left around for elections.

Thank god for people who actually take a stand, and don't worry about winning or losing. Generally when someone does that, they tend to win. People like someone with real convictions who is willing to fight for them. No one likes weakness, and that is what the center is, weak, unwilling to fight, but wanting to be in power.

They permit the Republicans to say: this is A CenterRight
country. What they are saying This is a Republican Country

Divide the country into 3 groups Right Left andCenter.
The Center should be people who are not that ideological.

On Right you have all levels
Even among Republicans you have degrees
There is a whale of difference between the person who
may be a little Right of Center and Center Right
and a whale of difference beteen these and Far Right
We have not left the Right Side yet.

I wish the Centrists. Blkue Dogs would think about
this. Determine where there core vaulues compass is.
This is creating dissension in the party.
They should be on the Left most likely a little left
of Center but not Center Left.

Not meant in an accusatory manner, but they have permitted
the Republicans to pull them from Sl.Left of Center
all the way over into Republican Court. They have
been operating Right of Center to Center Right. They
can get into trouble back home. Republicans are much
more conservative than their constituents.
