Last week, Scarborough kept going on and on about how he's " not a
company man." It seemed like some new mantra he was adopting, and he did a fair amount of early type sucking up to the Comcast lords. It was just weird and jangling, but he has seemed super exhuberant this week. I'm certain that much of this had to do with the Rs winning so many seats. However, I also want to note that he broadcast some discussion he had with Bloomberg, moderated by that unctious Meachem person, in which the question of whether he would try to run for President was put to the both of them. Bloomberg ruled it out (note: Scarborough has been pushing him as some kind of billionaire third party savior for some time now). Scarborough did not rule it out and left the possibility open. I have been saying for sometime that this stint on teevee and what the man has been saying and writing for a while appears to me to be a buildup to an eventual run. Given the kinds of people that have made it through with all types of issues, I don't see why he couldn't try and with enough BSing over a long enough period of time get on a ticket.

He's a loathsome creature, without a doubt, and has an ego that makes *'s look meek. Perhaps some consideration should be given to the idea of a systematic right turn of MSNBC, now that the the voters (right & left, by commission or omission) have reinstalled the Rs. Access means dollars. Perhaps some other forces are at work. I strongly suspect that Scarborough is in the thick of it somewhere. I wanted to write about this a couple of days ago, but was busy and really didn't want to engage in more than one sentence responses on my visits to DU.

3. Even "loozahs" can cause significant damage when they can't win.
We have the Grifter and her entourage as prime examples of that.

In my opinion, there is something going on out there beyond both parties (old brands) and the new rabble ('baggers), and it mroe than likely is RW with significant money backing it. But then, it's not August yet so it's too early to release a new product.

10. I hear that and am sufficiently
scared shit-less and on my way to batshit crazy. However, I get by with a little help from my friends and DU. There is strength in numbers and unity.

The 'significant money backers' are a big worry. They have to money to sell the stupid. We have some stalwarts like Barbara Streisand who puts her money where her mouth is and others but, we're going to need more and 'we', the unwashed masses are going to have to make a choice. Do I really need that new purse, that new cd - whatever or should I contribute it to those can help this country get on the 'left' track and become better.

I'm old school, if you have 99 cents without a penny you don't have a dollar. My Mom's words of wisdom translated from Portuguese. I'm 61 and have yet to find any advice she gave me to be wrong. She died at 92 an FDR Dem til the end.

2. Not only is Scarborough loathsome but he is mentally lazy,
not a good quality in someone who isn't too bright to begin with. I don't watch him on MSNBC because I can't stand his bluster but have been forced to watch him on Bill Maher a few times and he strikes me as grossly uninformed and not embarrassed to show it.

6. Which is the hallmark of a good conservative candidate...
have we not learned a damned thing about the right? They have latched on to a certain type of personality/characteristics they want in a candidate, but it has been spoiled by the Teabaggers and their foaming at the mouth candidates. To be sure, someone is casting about for a candidate that appears to be outside of this bunch that have been soundly rejected but is enough divorced from the old GOP which only came back into power because we on the left LET THEM.

My point is that he is as likely a person to fill such a role as any and he hobnobs with plenty of big money types too.

5. I've been saying JoeS is going to run for something too.
He's just too....toooo for the past year or so. I expected it this election, but makes better sense for him in 2012 when the repukes think they're top banana.
