Ok, so the Senate of the 111th Congress...

can still vote on legislation already passed by the House of the 111th Congress. Then it goes to the President to sign into law,Right?

@ least that's what I remember "Schoolhouse Rock".

The House of the 111th Congress has already passed a massive amount of legislation, some of it ideas championed by The President during his 2008 campaign.

If the roles were reversed, I'm sure the GOP would try to pass a few of their "pet projects" @ the wire like this...why shouldn't we?

Maybe the Senators that lost their seats due to the undue influence of the Chamber of Commerce can urge the others to join together and pass "The Employee Free Choice Act"?

If the GOP wants to filibuster, make them stand up there for hours on end and read the phonebook.

Sent most of them to the senate and the senate basically said F you... The house isn't the problem the problem is when ONE person can tie the whole process up with anonymous holds and threats to filibuster.. I am fairly certain our founding fathers had no intention of this happening . it is a travesty to the political precess and a slap in the face to the American people that one person can over ride the majority.

3. That's what I'm trying to say...

The legislation the House passed is still on the books/record for the 111th Congress...so this sitting Senate can still vote on that old legislation passed by this sitting House. They could've chose not to entertain it earlier...but the House passed bill...is still on the books...right? All it takes is enough Senators to call it up for a vote, or again..if needed.

"Employee Free Choice" would be a nice piece to bring back, IMHO.

If they threaten filibuster...make the GOP actually filibuster it.
