I hate CNN's format. Of course I go to lots of pgs for news, but I am basically looking for a good aggregate page, with headlines, that I can use as a homepage.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

11. It's hard for me to keep using their site when they keep axing people I like, fair enough?
Phil Donahue, David Shuster, possibly Keith Olbermann.

Bugs me.

I know there are plenty of great news sites out there, that won't make me feel like shit, and that DUers would know most all of them.

Thanks.

and only linked to a few editorials in a very few left friendly online publications.

Not only does it have headlines and videos, there are links to just about anything a lefty news hound is interested in at the bottom.

On edit: They did a redesign a year ago that's really hard to read. Fortunately, you can still access the clunky looking format that worked at http://classic.buzzflash.com/

12. Better than many US based sites.
Because of your IP address, the site will default to the International version - if you want the UK version, you need to set it (but I suspect the international version will better suit your needs).

I highly recommend it. For quicker updates try the Latest page here at DU, Reuters and NY Times. Hope this helps.

19. I use Google's news page,
but I also have the iGoogle page as well. I don't know about multiple home pages in most of the other browsers, but in IE, I can definitely have more than one tab opening up upon starting my web session.

For me, it means I can have Facebook, DU, Google news, iGoogle, weather, and a couple of other links all at the same time. :)

Who needs science news, right? :eyes:

So I went to MSNBC and have stayed there since then.

you want a less screamy site, stick to BBC. They are like the best actually... and so far neutral too.

35. Bing News search, fake news and
I have trust issues with Google (everyone probably should), and though I know Bing is owned by Bill Gates, Bing's privacy policy last I saw it a few months ago wasn't very bad, so it's my alternative for now barring they change things to be more like Google or worse or if I find out they already are.

I also like the Daily Show and Colbert report because I find them less emotionally manipulative than Fox and CNN, I think Keith was (or is, not sure which tense we're on) my favorite pundit, his show had good variety.

That's all. And saying a person has been axed or fired when that is not the case is fun, I suppose, but it still is not true.

Who did I say was fired, that was not?

Of course, Olbermann is still up in the air, but Donahue & Shuster were both definitely given the heave-ho.
