I think many DU members are feeling too down about Dems. having
lost the House. What if we had lost both the House and the Senate
as the Repubs. did in 2008?

Let's keep on the fight instead. There are several areas that Dems.
need to improve on:

1. Fight against vote-rigging and intimidation.

2. Today the news media are 90% Repub.-owned. How do we increase the
number of Dem.-owned media and fight Repub. lies with Dem. truth - loud,
clear, and non-stop? It's unacceptable that half of our people believe their
lies. I think too many people vote Repub. because they've been brain-washed.
The Repubs. are making good use of the fact that news media make a powerful
instrument for influencing Americans, why don't Dems. do the same?

3. Try to persuade Obama that appeasing the Repubs. only would make them
have more contempt for him. Their main goal is to totally and completely
destroy, through fair means and foul, any president who is not one of them.
That's the way they are. And they cannot change. Obama has already met
their demands more than half-way, and look at the results! They want
still more. These are not normal people. These are sickos.

Obama is the one who has to change his ways in dealing with them. He has
to FIGHT them if the Dem. Party is to survive at all. Remember Prime
Minister Chamberlain's "Peace In Our Time" agreement with Hitler just prior
to World War II? It didn't work. Obama could learn something from Churchill.

1. What we need
is some Democrats to run, who are willing to break a cain over the head of these bully republicans. Its time to take a stand and tell them you will no long be allowed to slowly convert our democracy into a dictatorship.

2. Nope I knew since 2006 that Michigan was going to go R because everything
wrong in the state was blamed on Granholm which had never recovered from the mess Engler created during his time in office. It was a no brainer that with the massive loss of UAW workers as well as GM closing factories and foundries the nit wits would decide that it was Granholms fault because taxes were to high for the big 3, heck here in Saginaw Delphi is the only thing left of the mighty GM empire that was in the city most of my younger life.
