14. +10. And that reminds me of a quote attributed to Norman Thomas, the Socialist Party leader:
He was a perennial presidential candidate from 1932 until 1960(winning almost a million votes in 1932, a showing that probably helped push FDR to the left in the next four years).

Thomas revised the old Henry Clay quote thusly:

"I'd rather be right than president...but I'm willing to be both!"

Big tent, little tent, tie-dyed tent - they just need to busy themselves with upholding the Constitution while serving the needs of the people (not corporations) without all of this triangulation and 10-dimensional chess nonsense.

7. How about a membership party with dues, regular membership meetings, election of local leadership,

political programs, positions and resolutions that all members vote on .... in other words a real political party under membership control and not simply an electoral apparatus?
