What if Lisa Murkowski Caucuses with the Dems?
Granted, long shot here...

But being thrown under the bus can make some, well, angry...

2. She already has said she's caucusing with the repubs
There is zero chance she'd caucus with the Democrats.

22. Yes, I'd love to see that
Especially to show my Centrist Repub friends - who are just as horrified at this election as us. They wanted Centrists of all stripes to win. The Dem centrists went away, and the Repub centrists were 'primaried.'

4. Not going to happen, just like Crist wasn't going to caucus with them either.
Never said they would, they only ran as independents in order to get elected.

6. I'm not even sure she'll be declared the winner...
Edited on Sat Nov-06-10 09:27 PM by regnaD kciN
I mean, sure, "write-in votes" seem to have a plurality in the AK count, but I'd bet that the GOP there is putting heavy pressure on the counters to find a loophole (not enough people spelled Murkowski correctly, or wrote it clearly enough to tell it was spelled correctly, or used her middle initial when others didn't) to invalidate enough of those ballots to declare Miller the winner.

Besides, strictly speaking, we've already got the Senate majority. Adding one more member to our caucus there wouldn't make a bit of difference -- the House is where we've got our problem.

10. Loopholes ?
The Repubs may be in for a surprise--maybe lots of them, maybe even filibuster reform, But, as to the Murkowski bit, The Dem Senate may pull a "Franken" on them and refuse to seat Miller if it looks like there's some funny business going on. Just a thought.....

We have less conservadems to deal w/ and Obama is about to take off the gloves w/ the Repubs and I'm pretty sure Pelosi & Reid are on board. There's going to be some smack downs coming to a country near you very soon.

11. It'll take some serious further shenanigans to even be remotely plausible.
You've got way better odds on the lottery. I'd buy a Powerball ticket and follow a different dream.
