UAW Local 5960 National Labor Relations Board Challenge
Attention Brothers and Sisters,
Our UNITED Auto Workers Union is in great peril.

The UAW International now has six charges, regarding what has been done to 5960 workers, that they must now answer to in front of the NLRB:

1. Since about October 3, 2010, UAW has failed and refused to provide unit employees a copy of the current draft of the Competitive Operating Agreement (COA) being negotiated by the Employer, UAW, and Union.

2. Since about September 23, 2010, the UAW has refused to allow members a ratification vote on a Memorandum of Understanding signed September 23, 2010

3. Since about October 3, 2010, the UAW has refused to allow members a ratification vote on the COA.

4. For the last six months, the above-named labor organization has failed to keep the unit employees informed as to significant changes under consideration to their terms and conditions of employment.

5. In about November 2009, the UAW, by its agent James Paramo, intentionally misrepresented to (Orion worker) that Tier I employees would never become Tier II employees

6. On about August 5, 2010, the above-named labor organization, by its agent Mike Dunn, intentionally misrepresented to some bargaining unit employees that the Orion will reopen as a Tier I plant.

The next step is the Department of labor to file an "Unfair Labor Practices" charge. The NLRB agent stated that workers wouldn’t need to testify, as would normally be the case, for charges against an employer. But in this case the facts are blatantly evident.

We are under attack by the automakers who plan on eventually cutting all of our wages in half. Instead of uniting us for the fight we are in, our union leadership has chosen to go behind our backs, ignore our right to vote on our own futures, and conspired quickly to divide us. We need to STAND ON SOLIDARITY, and say to both enemies of true unionism, that we have had enough! We need to say NO to all wage divisions and remove from office all union leaders, that have denied us the right to vote down a contract that will destroy us as a union. This won’t end at Lake Orion.

Stand Up! Come to the 5960 union meeting this Sunday, November 7th, at 2:00 p.m. Call all active and retired 5960 workers you know and urge them to attend! Don't let the International reps shut down the meeting, our meeting, for any reason, especially not for low turnout!

Join In Solidarity with friends and family of 5960 Members the following day, Monday, November 8th, at 3 p.m. for an Informational Picket on Giddings Rd. in front of Lake Orion Assembly’s Main Gate. We will be picketing for hundreds of families that are being torn apart by forced transfers. Come and join us... No matter what your connection to Lake Orion Assembly. If you are a construction worker installing the tools and steel to rebuild the plant, join us. It might be your wages halved tomorrow. If you work for a local orthodontist or hair salon, your business will be affected when Tier Two workers can't afford braces and hair cuts. If you deliver pizzas, few will be able to afford delivery at that plant. Join us to support your neighbors who are losing their homes.

This affects us all!

We will be picketing to stand up against these dangerous practices… before they become business as usual!

Come and join us, all active and retired UAW! Tell both the company and the UAW leadership NO!

RESPECT WORKERS! RESPECT OUR RIGHT TO VOTE! STAND UP BEFORE THIS SPREADS!

1. Funny how teachers unions can prevent rank and file voting on merit pay and be perfectly ok but not
The UAW who is trying to keep American made cars a reality.
